I installed Office v.X several days ago, and setting up Entourage is becoming an exercise in frustration. Among the glitches I am seeing:
a) Entourage will not import my Claris Emailer database (described in another posting to this list). b) The dialog for importing contacts from a text file does not work as described in the online documentation. Unmapped fields cannot be dragged into the mapped fields pane. Adjusting the pane separator in this dialog causes garbage to be drawn in the window. When previewing records, the dialog sometimes displays a record's fields incorrectly, omitting the first character in a field. c) Entourage sometimes freezes, requiring a forced quit, when I hit the delete key to remove a selected message in the browser window's message list (I believe this has only happened on Chinese spams). Is this typical of other people's experience, and simply the rough edges of an initial product release? Or is it possible that I have a corrupted install? If it's the latter, I would appreciate tips on the best way to deinstall, clean up, and reinstall the product. I've already installed and removed the Office "Test Drive" prior to installing the commercial product. Is it possible that I neglected to clean out some files from the Test Drive, or accidentally deleted some that I should not have removed?
