There are loads of ways. if you just connect the two machines by Ethernet
cable, set up File Sharing on both machines and just copy it straight from
one to the other - just drag it to the mounted volume of the other computer
that now appears. (You'll have to read up on File Sharing. Your computers
need independent IP addresses, but you can just assign a dummy one if
necessary.) Once set up, you just get there by "Connect to server" in the Go
menu in the Finder. If they're both recent computers, you don't even need
crossover cable - regular ethernet cable will work.

It's even easier if you have a FireWire cable and at least one of the
computers is recent. You turn it off, connect the cable, hold "T" down on
the keyboard and start it up. It becomes the "target" and now you can
drag-copy to the mounted yellow volumes. You can copy 200 MB in about 20
seconds by FireWire.
