I use Entourage in an Exchange environment, but there are simply limitations
to what Entourage does.

Remember that Exchange is really designed to be server-centric, where
everything is stored on the server in an "IMAP-style" of operation but using
proprietary protocols and formats. Yes, you can use Exchange as a "super
OE", but you lose a lot of the functionality that makes Exchange a
groupware-style app.

On the other hand, Entourage is designed primarily to be a stand-alone tool,
not requiring the use of a server to store its data. You can send e-mail,
appointments, and address cards to other users *via standard E-mail formats*
which some other apps are just starting to embrace.

Yes, Entourage works in an Exchange environment, and handles things like
appointment e-mails OK, but it is not a full-fledged Exchange client.
