I gather you do not usually use the summary view, which does show (almost) everything.
Note that I am not saying to replace the functionality in Entourage Contact with the somewhat lesser functionality that is available via the Address Book application GUI interface. What I am looking for is to either use the extensible functionality of the Address Book database and API with the existing feature (i.e., contact information) set of Entourage as the actual contact database, or maintain a close, immediate synchronization of the two. Updating one should immediately and transparently update the other. In other words, I like and use the contact information fields that Entourage has and the Address Book application does not. However, I would like to be able to have a better synchronization capability than the current Palm conduit. For one thing, I also want my contacts in my keitai/cell phone. Having Entourage synchronize with iCal would be nice, as then Japanese holidays would be shown on the correct days (that is, I could use the Apple iCal which has the correct holidays), and I could share my calendar with coworkers. -- Eric Hildum > From: Florian Innocente <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Reply-To: "Entourage:mac Talk" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Date: Wed, 15 Jan 2003 08:26:06 +0100 > To: "Entourage:mac Talk" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: Re: Entourage, Address Book, and iSync > >> I would prefer to see Entourage make use of the Address Book in one of two >> ways: >> >> Adopt the Address Book as the repository of contact information. > > Next step, Entourage drops its calendar feature and adopts iCal. > > And Voil !
