And, lastly, Microsoft has posted a new page regarding accessing Exchange
Servers on the Mac:

Too bad it doesn't really work. I can't work offline with out a litany of
error messages.
That's peculiar. What happens when you do?

I posted the problem about 6 months ago (quoted below). I also filed a bug report where the support person told me to use another server.

Subject: IMAP Error

I posted this once before, but have found a way to reproduce it at will.

Occasionally, I get the following error from Entourage X (on OS
10.1.5) while talking to an Exchange 2000 server configured for IMAP.
The message is "STORE command received in invalid state.. Error 1026".

To create the problem, take EntX off line and delete some messages from
the inbox The more you delete, the more likely the problem will happen.
Hitting Send/Receive to go back into an online state. EntX puts up a dialog
saying that it is synchronizing the changes. At the same time, it also
starts the send/receive (visible if the Progress window can be seen). The
two processes seem to share the same connection and collide occasionally
when switching mailboxes. The problem is worse if you use a slow (dial-up)
connection.
