Unfortunately, in a corporate environment, getting the mail is only a
fraction of how Entourage should be able to interact with an Exchange
server. My inability to get to calendars on the corporate Exchange server is
a daily annoyance. One of the other OS X users has already given up and
switched back to Eudora since he could only get to mail on the Exchange
server.

My approach was the same. Use Entourage for mail only. I use VPC and Outlook for the meetings, as well as syncing to my Palm. From the Palm, I can import meetings into Entourage and get notification.

The Entourage conduit regularly duplicates meetings so I'm thinking of using Palm Desktop for the calendar (and notes and addresses). The problem is that in sync mode, most non-repeating meetings are duplicated or lost after syncing with Outlook (i.e., syncing on the PC, then the Mac, then the PC causes the duplicates).

I posted previously on the problems with IMAP.
