Well, a larger database means more data to "paw through" when finding things to display. I use some AppleScripts to move messages from the previous month to a single folder tree, while maintaining the existing folder hierarchy. After a month, I export that folder tree to disk and import it into a separate identity. I've got a pair of AppleScripts that do the export and import while maintaining the folder hierarchy and flagged messages. I'm sure that there are other scripts that are out there (for example, I think Paul has some available) but I've been using mine for a couple of years, and they work exactly as I want them to. -- Glenn L.
