No, it's got nothing to do with Saved Attachments. Entourage doesn't know about them - where they are, or anything like that - unless you make links to them, and you'd only ever raise that question if you tried to access the link directly from a specific message. (Unsaved) attachments are stored internally in the database and will be copied fine along with the rest of identity's database.
You are talking about all sorts of locations for the "Main Identity" folder. What you need to do when moving the Powerbook's Main Identity folder to your home computer's, for example, is to rename the home computer's Main Identity older to be safe, if you wish, or simply to replace it (since you have other copies of the one you're moving) and move it right into the Office X Identities folder in the Microsoft User Data folder in Documents folder of your OS X user folder. Is that what you're doing? You _could_ use an alias to another location, but I don't see how you'd benefit from that - it should simply replace the pre-existing Main Identity. Is that what you're doing? The account settings within Entourage would have to be the same - same POP or IMAP and SMTP server = or else you need to make adjustments before you check for mail. You should not need to have any other mounted when you check for mail (unless you were aliasing that computer's MUD folder or component). You're doing something wrong in your setup that's making you use the MUD folder, or the Main Identity subfolder, in the other computer, instead of its own computer. That could be causing the slowdown. -- Paul Berkowitz MVP Entourage Entourage FAQ Page: http://www.entourage.mvps.org/toc.html PLEASE always state which version of Entourage you are using - 2001 or X.
