Elizabeth,

1. If you never noticed "On My Computer", then you haven't been using any
local folders.

2. That means all your folders are IMAP folders, listed under the name of an
IMAP server in the folder list. ("elizabethnoble.com" or whatever you might
have named it.

3. You could have confirmed this a long time ago,  as I asked you to, in
Tools/Accounts. Have you done that yet?

4. Since you must therefore have an IMAP account, you can't put the Spam
folder on the server: you can't make it an IMAP folder in  there with your
other server folders. Entourage's applescripting does not permit moving
messages on an IMAP server. And SpamSieve is a script.

5. But that's what you must have done, if you'd never seen "On My Computer"
before. (Incidentally, it's always open by default in Entourage. I suspect
you had someone help you install Entourage? He or she may have closed "On My
Computer" to get it out of your way. This proves the point that MS are wise
to leave it open by default.)

You should be fine now that you are using a local folder.
