It has been a while, I since abandoned IE mainly because E-rage was more important to me, and there are so many browser options out there. Ay any rate, to the best of my knowledge, quit both apps, IE and E-rage, then open IE, set your prefs, get em just how you want them, and quit IE. They should stick now. However, if you ever have E-rage open at the same time as IE, you run the risk of stomping your prefs all over again, especially those ever so nice helper/suffix mappings. Try your best to quit E-rage first, and then IE, and you should be ok.
