I'll be very interested to see if Office 2004 fixes the various bugs and UI glitches that have been on record for quite some time. Some have persisted through several updates of Entourage X and Word X (these are the apps I use the most). I probably don't need and won't use most of the new features of Office 2004. It's a bit irksome to fork out just for the bug fixes.
Before settling on Entourage for my email client, I tried the demo version of Mailsmith. I found a couple of UI bugs and sent off a quick report to their support address. A few days later, I got an email from Rich Siegel (president of BareBones), acknowledging the bugs and thanking me for the report. A couple of days after that he sent me a beta version of the program with the bugs fixed. I appreciate the good work that Jud, Dan and crew have done on Entourage. But I sometimes wonder just how much better the product would be if they were not working within the constraints of the MS bureaucracy and business model. -- Julian Vrieslander <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
