Howdy, I'd love an explanation for this.
I'm using the new Entourage 2004 with Monaco 12 as my monospaced font. If I type the following character sequence (no spaces): a u d i o / v i d e o I get: audio/video Just in case that doesn't show up on the list, I have audiovideo, but with the o in audio replaced with the o-with-slash-through-it character. This happens on incoming mail as well, so it's not a problem with my auto-correct settings. If I type a message using Andale Mono, save it, switch my font preference to Monaco 12 and re-open the message, the conversion happens. This doesn't happen in ANY OTHER APPLICATION I've tried besides Entourage, including Word, BBEdit, Terminal, etc. What's going on? I love Monaco, but I can't put up with this.
