Title: Re: Unwanted character conversion
Weird.  Okay, thanks.  To anybody who knows — is there a “fixed” Monaco?

I did some searching and found basically the same symptoms described for ProFont in various apps (especially the Terminal).  I don’t see this problem with Monaco in the Terminal.  ONLY in Entourage.

Anyway, if there’s a fix I’d be very grateful for a pointer to info about it.  Otherwise, it’ll be back to Andale for me, and I really prefer Monaco.

Thanks!

Not really. It shows up without what Michael was attempting to demonstrate. That's because he sent it in plain text, then you've replied in HTML using Verdana 10.

Michael if you're trying to demonstrate something that occurs only in Monaco, why not send it on in an HTML message? It's not much good in plaintext, where everyone sees it in their own plaintext font.

This is a well-known issue concerning Monaco in Panther. I can't find the webpage URL because the Search box in the Entourage MVP website page is useless here. Sorry. Someone else will know.
