Hi Andy.
I don't think it really matters as much as it might otherwise which version
you have since, as we've been discussing in other threads, these things are
really more server related than they are which email client you have. How
that particular client reacts may be different, but the problem exists
before the client is involved.

As for how to identify the suspect email, I must admit that I have a very
service orientated, LOCAL email service provider. They are so good that
even when I went with a cable broadband service (no DSL available where I
am) I stayed with them for everything else. They did most of the work
searching for the problematic headers. We worked together on the phone to
narrow down the search, but they have the real details needed to clearly see
what's what. The starting point is to look for mails that came in roughly
the time that the trouble began.
It's really whomever has access to the server(s) that has the most surgical
methods at their disposal. From your webmail access (if you have that) you
may need to take a much more broad approach.
So my "tip" would be to get with your server administrator and get them to
help you find the problem. I think it is part of their job to make sure
that you can/do have access to your email, and this should definitely be
seen as part of their service responsibility.

I wish there was more I could do to help, but that's really the whole of the
story as I've experienced it.
Hope it helps though.
