Silence usually means one of three things:

1. Nobody else is having the same problem

2. Nobody has an answer to the problem

3. Nobody understood you question!

In this case, I suspect reason 3 I am certainly confused.

I presume you are talking about saving messages to disk, rather than
retaining them in the entourage database?

In that case, I dont remember there being a save as html option, but Ill
take your word for it there was once. You now have two options save as
p[lain text, or save as an email message. The latter option will allow the
message to retain all its formatting, the only proviso being that you have
to open it up in entourage again.

You mention that you want this option to use in conjunction with a script to
retain formatting when forwarding. Did you realise that entourage now has a
new menu item forward as attachment? This will attach the previous email
to a new one, allowing you to add comments yet retain the original mail in
all its original format. This is exactly the same as could previously be
achieved by dragging a message from the folder listing to the attachments
pane of a new message, but is made a lot easier. If you are determined to
archive these messages out to hard disk, the same thing can be achieved by
saving as an email message and attaching the resultant file to your new
message.

Why not post full details of what you are trying to achieve it may be we
can show you an easier method.

Subject: Saving as html option - Part Deux

Like a previous poster, Im a bit surprised that there have been no
responses to the missive, below. Its been so quiet, I can hear crickets.
:-)
Info - anyone?

Thanks,
Jerry

------------------------------------------

Greetings, all.

Im new to the list, and have a question I hope hasnt been discussed
previously. Ive searched the archives and help pages, but have not been
able to find the answer to a question I have.

Ive recently installed Office 2004, and am now using the new Entourage. In
previous versions, Ive had the option of saving html messages in that
format, which Ive subsequently used with a script to retain that format
when forwarding. The option is missing in the latest version of the
software, and I havent been able to find a preference to add it.

Any info/suggestions will be appreciated.

Regards,
Jerry
