OK, I found the answer to my own question -- for those interested, you have
to set this for each mail folder, from the menu View->Arrange By->Show In
Groups (de-select Show In Groups). While this does get rid of the "Today"
Yesterday", etc., as desired, in the next version, if this could also be set
for all folders at once (either in the View menu or in Gen Prefs.), that
would make it a lot easier than having to go through 40+ folders and
sub-folders, as I am doing now.........
