I've suffered this 4362 error when trying to send pop email with attachments many times with Office vX (10.1.4) over the years - and a completely new database (with the fun of exporting and importing key email) did not stop the problem from occurring at times.
The problem seems very random but more than often seems to be related to writing of a long plain txt email (when I'm offline), then attaching pictures and the error will occur on trying to save message for later sending or on sending... Things can also get worse and at times after this the inbox preview area becomes not visible and the rebuild options fix this.... sometimes with lost messages unfortunately. When it is just a single message error I have just copied the text and created a new message, added attachments and it usually works - but often the rebuild is the only way to sort it... I guess I've learned to live with the issue as I'm not that fond of Mail yet... and one day I might be lucky to get Office 2004!... tell me the problem doesn't exist in v2004?? > Sometimes this error indicates a problem Entourage is having with the > Microsoft Database Daemon. Quit the daemon > > Then go to System preferences/Login and remove any entries of the > database daemon from the 'login items' window. Now start up Entourage > again and hopefully the problem will have been resolved. But I am curious about the quoted statement above about the removal of the Datebase Daemon to help fix this problem - doesn't Entourage need to the daemon to be a start up item to work with all features? so taking it out of the start up items you loose what I wonder? regards Jerome -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
