Title: Entourage slowdown

I’ve been experiencing interesting anomalies on 2 different machines.  Both started at the same time:

I’m running 11.1.0 on a G5 Tiger desktop and a G4 Tiger Powerbook, both in Exchange mode with our company’s server.

1st, a question:  What is the experience with exchange mode?  Is it possible I’d be better off running IMAP.  I like the level of integration, but still have silly behavior, such as seeing new mail on my Treo LONG before I will see it in Entourage.  On launch, Entourage may take up to 10 minutes to show my new mail.

Now, the anomalies:

Entourage on my Powerbook has become non-functional.  It launches, retrieves items from the server, but then will hang for minutes at a time, usually when I am trying to compose a message.  Repair utility tells me there is nothing wrong with he database.  If I do rebuild it, in Exchange mode, it downloads all messages all over again anyway, so I don’t quite see the point of a rebuild.  Doing a rebuild, however, does not help.

Entourage on my G5 desktop has started taking up to 30 seconds to enter the calendar module.  When it gets there, it will take another 15 to 30 seconds to load events each time I click on a new day.
Also, the Office notification popup cannot be dismissed when notifying of a meeting.  I have to force quit it every time.
Same thing with the Database Repair utility.....it tells me everything is fine.

IT department tells me no changes have been made server side.
