Howdy,

  Of late, my Entourage has started freezing up for a few minutes at a time.
This happens maybe once per day.

  I have heard two possible causes of this:

1) Spotlight
2) The automatic database integrity check decided it needed to repair the
database.

I have excluded the Microsoft User Data folder from Spotlight indexing by
using the Privacy feature in the System Preferences.

Is there any way to tell definitively whether the database is being rebuilt
during these times?

My database is about 1.5GB, so it may be that it's in need of some pruning.

I have not taken the SP2 update yet, because of problems reported here.  I
am running Entourage version 11.1.0 (040913) on MacOS 10.4.2.
