Also we always get the "This message has been partially
downloaded" message on incoming messages, especially those with
attachments. The attachment icon does not appear in the attachment
column. We don't know a message has an attachment until we click
to read it.

In the accounts settings window, under the ‘options’ tab, click the button to ‘Download Complete Messages’
Barry,
Thanks for the help! We do have the option to Download all Messages checked but it only appeared to work on the users’ personal mail accounts, not for the Public folder account. However, I think that was because some users weren’t actually subscribed to the folders at the time. I did discover yesterday that adding to Favorites was the same as subscribing so that explains why some of our users saw items in the folder when others didn’t. We also figured out about the different icons being posts as opposed to messages though we still aren’t sure why some messages from our customers come through as posts to the account. I thought maybe it was because users were pulling those messages into the public folder from their personal account, but if that were the case wouldn’t the message say it came from the user not the customer?
Another question I have is in our previous version when someone read a message in a public folder it showed as read on their machine, but still showed as unread on other users’ machines. Now it appears that if I read a message on my machine other users see it as read also once their public folder account has updated. So I’m guessing this has changed as well?
It would be nice if MS outlined how all this changed in their documentation somewhere. I’ve looked, and outside of finding generic comments about improved handling of public folders they don’t really get into the specifics of what changed and apparently they didn’t update the Office Help file any for the new features either as they still mention subscribing to public folders the old way.
Oh well, live and learn with the help of user lists and nice folks like you!
