Check the Mailing List Manager (MLM) under Tools. There is an option to set Category on the first window. Personal Rules can also set category. Check your Rules under Tools also. You don't mention how you lost your email,but the most common reason Entourage opens with no email is user error. Users move the Microsoft User Data folder to another location. When this happens, Entourage will create a new blank Identity.
