i dont think you can turn it off, you can modify the
schedule for it. tools / run schedule / edit schedule.
have you taken a look at the sytem.log (
/var/log/)?
does it happen to all users in
entourage?
does the beach ball start with any specific type of email
(complex html?)
can you reproduce the issue?
