Hi, I also suffer from the periodic slowdowns or freezing of the current version of Entourage and OS 10.4.8. I've contacted the MacBU support team several times about the issue. The email exchanges between myself and their support people make realize that they don't acknowledge this to be a large problem or even a common one.
During MacWorld in San Francisco, I talked with several members of MacBU team at their booth and aired my grievances about this issue to them. Most of them had never heard nor acknowledged that this was an ongoing issue. Only one member acknowledged the issue. He claimed the problem has been nearly impossible to duplicate with any regularity within MacBU--hence no real fix. I am just wondering out loud if the new version of MacOffice will fix this issue. If not, I really have to consider abandoning Entourage and look towards AppleMail. There's really a lot to like about Entourage but having this issue ongoing with really no definitive fix is more than frustrating to me.
