Sometimes this error can be from a corrupt .plist file. Try deleting this
preference file in your User's --> Library Preferences:

com.microsoft.OfficeNotifications.plist

Most likely the database rebuild ended up causing problems. Unless you have
thrown the original files away you can revert to the database before
rebuilding. Old files are named:

Entourage 2004: Main [Backed up date and time will be shown] e.g. Main
[Backed up 1-21-2007 13.35]

You can rename the file so it doesn¹t overwrite the newly rebuilt database.
