Strictly speaking, all devices, including iPhone, sync to the

And so does Entourage if you use Entourage 2004's Sync Services.
They all sync to Sync Services. So everything that it stores -
which will include all info that Address Book stores, including
birthdays - will sync. (For those who might still be using my Sync
scripts to sync Entourage to Address Book, the Address Book info
syncs to SyncServices and so will still get to the iPhone.)
I understand SyncServices is used.
I guess the question was more about what gets displayed on the
calendar in iPhone. I call folks on their birthdays, but only if I
know that it's their birthday, i.e. only of my calendar tells me :-)
Perhaps a more pressing question is this: I would like to start from
scratch with a new iCal and new Addressbook. (I'll print out a copy
first)
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301920 says "As if it
were a swarm of bees, you should stay away from the SyncServices
folder in Mac OS X 10.4" and warns that doing so might delete all my
data -- but what if I WANT to delete all my data?
