You can always check the crash log in your console and see if you can pinpoint the cause of the crash. I agree with this person, don't give Entourage credit just yet until you are sure that Entourage isn't the cause of the crash in the first place. But at least give them some credit for putting the autosave in place because that is worth something and maybe that's what the original poster is happy about.

This was a case where Entourage did something right. I think Word, and maybe some of the other Office apps have the same ability to recover from crashes. They keep a working copy of the current document saved to disk at
all times, ready for an emergency recovery.
