While I don't send HTML to lists, I do use it exclusively for business email these days (in addition to being able to clearly highlight critical points within the message, it also allows me to include a footer with logo and hyperlinks to other co. email addresses and our website). The vast majority of people we do business with (mostly high technology firms) also use HTML (yes, there are occasional format problems on receipt, but nothing anywhere near the exaggerations mentioned here lately).
