Hello Linda, In the Preview Pane, you can edit the Message Body Text only.
If you wish to edit the Subject Line, you must open the Message in a new Window, by double clicking the Message. Then the Edit Button is in the Tool Bar, Edit Message can also be started from the Message/Edit Message Menu. -- Do you own or use an Apple Macintosh Computer?
