Actually, she has two Entourage accounts for the same ISP account -- one she
uses at home where we're on Comcast cable, and one that requires different
Entourage settings because at work she has to go through Budget Dialup
because she doesn't have cable. But, ultimately, both Entourage accounts
connect to the same, single ISP account. Whereas my two Entourage accounts
were for different ISP accounts.

So when she hit the Send & Receive All button, she received every message
twice, from the same ISP account, through both Entourage accounts. Although
I haven't changed the default setting to remove received messages from the
server, the two reads from the server apparently come too close together and
don't give the server time to remove the message.

So the cure was to exclude one of her accounts from the "Send & Receive All"
schedule. Now, when she hits the Send & Receive all button, she only
receives the message from the one account that is now included in the Send &
Receive All schedule -- and it disappears moments later from the server and
all is right with the world.

The only downside is that she does have to remember to send from the work
account at work and from the home account at home.

I had figured this out once before, a couple of years ago. It didn't come
back to me this time because the Entourage interface for these settings is
confusing. Checking the "Include in Send & Receive All schedule" checkbox
apparently actually only affects the Receive part of that schedule. Hitting
the Send & Receive All button actually, it appears, sends all accumulated
outgoing messages, even when they're set to be sent from an Entourage
account that is not included in the Send & Receive All schedule.

I know that's a pretty convoluted explanation. Maybe Paul or Diane or
somebody can figure out what I mean and add it to some Entourage help blog
or other.
