Let's eliminate problems in your User's account by testing in a new User. 1) Drag your Microsoft User Data folder to the "Shared" folder. 2) Go to System Preferences --> Create a New User in Accounts. Switch to the New User by logging out/in or use Fast User Switching. 3) Drag from Shared (it actually copies so you data is safe) to the new User's Document folder. 4) Launch Entourage. You need to set Entourage to Offline mode so you can set in your Account (under Tools in the Menu bar) to leave messages online. 5) Set to work online and download. What message count do you see? If it's correct, then it's not your database and it's your preferences. If it is not correct, then the rebuild did not fix the problem. Let's test in a new Identity while in the new User. 1) In Entourage in the new User, select "Switch Identity" under Entourage in the Menu bar. Create a new Identity and name it "test" Set the account to "leave mail on server" Does the problem go away now? After testing be sure to drag your MUD folder from Shared back to your Documents folder or Entourage will open with a new blank one.
