Eli, I really liked you photos! I was trying to guess on how old these LL trees were. One of my favorite trees since I was a kid. Living in South Ms., we see these less and less but there are still remaining stands in South Ms, South Ala, South Ga., Northwest Fla., the Carolinas, etc. I've seen some around 125 years old but none in the 200-300 year old class. As for heights the tallest I've seen are just over 80', the may have reached 100'+ in the old Forests. Some may exsist but they would be far and few between, unfortunately.
