Ed, I like the way you use the list-serve as a stone for honing your ideas. This exchange is a good example of how this discussion group can help all of us sharpen our knowledge and opinions on forest issues. Beyond that, you should make formal comments on Forest Service Projects that you really care about, like this one on the Kaibab Plateau. Your input would be valuable and specific enough that the Forest Service would be required to at least consider your concerns to comply with NEPA regulations.
