Bob, These came from two sources for national data. I'm not sure if they are consolidated anywhere.
First, NOAA's Real-time Observation and Monitor and Analysis Network: http://raws.wrh.noaa.gov/roman/ Graphically select a region to browse the data tables of many small observers. Rows with extremes or notable data are usually highlighted in gold or yellowish-orange to help you to find extreme data in the min temp column as you scroll down. Second, the NOAA Regional Temperature and Precipation Table site: http://www.nws.noaa.gov/view/validProds.php?prod=RTP Select regional weather service offices and browse their data for extremes, some lists state the extremes separately at the end of the list. Choose only the desired offices. For instance, Duluth handles northeastern Minnesota. Will got his LeConte data from the Morristown, TN link off this list. Third, Mesowest: http://mesowest.utah.edu/index.html This is a graphical site of a reduced set of selected observers. Select "min temp" for display overlay, and then the desired state.
