The heights are confirmed. The age will be easy to get. I know one concern I
believe Jess had at our site visit was that the grove is not protected and
could (already) be logged.

   Yes, get some cores--and confirm the heights.  If you can do that,
you should, or I, will contact the nearest university with a forestry
research program and make sure this makes it into the literature.  Not
only will I be stunned, but there will be a lot of stunned foresters
all over! If this is true, it needs to be known.  The site should be
analyzed, and the strain of WP tested.

   I am skeptical, but if you can confirm the age and heights, I will
be the first to admit that the forestry profession, which I am a very
tangential part of, has missed something very important.
