Rather than reverse the single lens, I've been successful in
connecting two Cokin adapter rings together with 'Crazy glue'. Flats
together, threads out, a touch of black paint inside to kill reflections.
This allowed me to use an older 80-210 on the camera with full control and
a reversed prime on the end via the Cokins.
Magnification is something like the ratio of the focal lengths
(210/28 ~7) which is quite incredible to see. By using 52mm lenses, I could
keep the weight down (creep is a problem) and I could justify keeping the
lenses around.
