LE WROTE:

hi EOS users,

I have a Canon Elan IIe with tamron 28-80mm lens. nov, I need a longer
focal length lens, X-300mm. I usually shoot portrait, children and
landscape. in one of the magazine I found the following lenses which are
within my budget. but I don't know which one is optically better. I
can't afford 'L' or 'IS' lenses.
Thanks for your help

Canon EF 75-300 USM
Sigma 70-300 APO macro super
Sigma 28-300 Asp IF
Tamron 70-300 LD
Tamron 28-300 Macro
Tokina 75-300
Tokina 28-300
Tokina 35-300

For the money the Sigma 75-300mm DL Macro (not the APO) is the sharpest you
can get for under $300.
It is a superb optic and a bargain.
