Hi Karen,

You're right!  The picture on page 33 of the Elan 7/7E brochure shows
wireless flash without an ST-E2.

Disappointingly, the text on page 32 indicates that you still need
an accessory ST-E2 or 550EX or MR-14EX to do the wireless E-TTL thing.
:-(

Unless the 420EX can act as a simple optical slave (like the Sigma
EF430 Super)...  Does anyone here have access to a 420EX to check?
