I own the Elan 7e and have found this to be no problem, it takes no time at
all to press the metering button, and my other hand is already up by the
dial. It's really quite easy. I think some of the reason others have found
the controls to be weird on the 7e is because they are not the _SAME_ as the
Elan II or other cameras. I didnt have any of these cameras previously and
think that the 7e's controls are very easy to use.

I am sure that the other improvements in the 30/7 should push you towards
this body. Unless, of course, you are single handed.
