Since I'm also in the market for a light weight tripod, I'd appreciate any
and all comments comparing the Bogen/Manfrotto 3443 & 3444 versus the
Slick 803 & 804. Also, please post any input you may have on appropriate
ball heads for these tripods.
B&W has the 803 at US$270 and the 804 at US$300. I'd like to know where
to obtain the Bogen carbon fiber tripods for only $60 more than this. B&W
has the 3443 at US$404 and the 3444 at US$413.
