Unless there's something wrong with your current Win98SE installation, you
won't get much benefit by upgrading to WinME. ME is really more like
Windows 98, Third Edition, though some sources I've read indicate that it's
actually a step backwards in some respects--there were some problems with
device drivers and legacy stuff (applications and hardware), but those might
be ironed out now.
For the record, I haven't really spent any time with Windows ME, but I'm
running Win98 and I use Windows 2000 at work, and between those two, I don't
really see the need for Windows ME. In short, I'd stick with Windows 98; if
you're itching to upgrade, and have newer hardware, think about upgrading to
Windows 2000 instead (for the enhanced stability, security, etc).
