I'm running WinME. It's just a more polished off version of Win98SE. I
don't get half the blue screens I used to under Win98SE. If you are to
upgrade, beware of any of your camera or film/flatbed scanner software
drivers. If they're using TWAIN then you might have to get a WinME specific
version of the driver as Microsoft have completely reworked the Twain
interface. I know I had to with my CanoScan FS2710 (Luckily Canon had
already posted the driver before I upgraded!).
Your Canon D30 won't have any problems under WinME.
