Hum... good question...
I think that, even though I lose one stop with a 1.4 TC, my lens is still
wide open, which is not its best aperture, and moreover I always thought
that this was made even worse by the TC, so I really had to stop down a little.
I won't buy a TC for my 28-135. I don't think it was a good idea.
