Pre-installed probably means that you have to have W98
installed before you install your Canon software. Pre
= before -> before you install your software. It
should not matter if it is an update or not. Updating
your W95 should be the same as a clean install of W98.
Well, in practise it probably is not exactly the same
but if Canon counts on such differences, which should
not even exist, then they walk on very thin ice.
