George Lepp reviewed these lenses in "The Natural Image". He thought both
the Sigma and the Tamron was sharper than the Canon, but the Canon had
better flare control.
I have handled the Sigma in the camera shop. Like all of the new Sigma EX
HSM lenses I have seen, it seems to be well built. I am tempted to buy the
Sigma.
