Anyone considering a wider view than 20mm on a 24x36mm format should
also seriously look at other formats & optics (including fisheyes
and panorama cameras), since image details get lost pretty fast with the
smaller magnification ratio's of super wide angles....for example,
don't expect much face details in a large group of people....what
works in strong architectural compositions (diverging lines) doesn't
always work with other types of photography.
Note that panorama cameras almost by definition use much longer
focal lengths for still a much larger (horizontal) angle of view.
That, plus the fact that a panorama camera like a Horizon 202 is much
cheaper than a Canon 14mm, and on par with Sigma/Tokina/Tamron (and
you basically get a 'spare body' for free....:)).
No system is without limits, even EOS....expand your horizon!....;))
