Hello list. It has been quit a while. The last few months have been nuts!
I would like any and all input I can get from you folks about the New Tamron
28-200mm II. I hear they have really improved upon it. Is it sharp from
135mm to 200? How about the contrast and flare characteristics. I feel
pretty confident in the assumption that the lens hood is really necessary. I
need a good point and shoot lens and I want this range. My mother owns
Sigma's latest version but it is just too soft at the 200mm end, the corners
suck!
Also, any info about the quality of the new Canon 28-200 would be nice
as well. Price is steep! (by way of comparison). Worth the price I wonder? I
did not get the issue of Popular Photography where they tested the Tamron
28-200 II. If some one could send me a scan I would appreciate it.
For a lot of you who remember me and my antics, occasionally going nuts or
just being plain asinine, I will inform you that I am now "On the Wagon" It
appears that my drinking was a huge problem. Some of you suffered through a
few bouts. I apologize. No more alcohol for me!
You know that no matter if your drunk or not, Canon still rules!
