Don't know but I suppose the anglefinder C will fit on the 7E

Yes it is

I find it very usefull and not only for macro work. If you work low to the ground it
is very useable.

Don't know. I never heard of a third party alternative.

Go for the C since for macrowork the 2.5x magnificatin is very handy.
