Unfortunately I've shot only one roll of negatives so far (the rest
slides). Therefore I had no opportunity to check it myself.

I used to do that too and have come over it as you did :-)
You get strips of five? I always got strips of four frames and only
three times strips of five, this being quite a hassle because they
don't fit into the negative pockets I use and I had to buy different
ones especially for these.
