Hi Gary,

When one of the local camera retailers held a free "Canon
Camera Clinic", the Canon tech cleaned some dust from
the plain matte focussing screen on my EOS 1000FN.

The EF-M screen is an exact fit. It was very easy to
remove the spring clip holding the old screen, then
to replace it, using a pair of fine "tweezers".
