I currently own a EOS 3, 17-35L, 28-70L, and 70-200L. I also have several
77m Hoya filters that I've been very happily using. But I want to expand
into some graudated ND filters for some landscape photography.
After some research I've seen good comments about the Singh-Ray ND filters
($99 each) using the Cokin-P system. Then I've also seen a very expensive
Schneider ND Max-Tran Multi-coated 4x4 grad for $427 using the Lee/Calumet
4x4 holder.
I did some research on the Schneider ND multi-coated filter, and can only
find one web site selling it (www.2filter.com). They claim they have the old
MC ND filter and thus is worth $427.
What filter system do most use for the 28-70 and 70-200? I want a compatible
system, but I'm not a pro so can't really justify $427 for one filter. Any
special gotcha's about any of my lenses I should look out for?
